Yahya Sergio Yahe Pallavicini is vice president of COREIS ( Islamic religious Communitiy in Italy) and Imam of the al-Wahid mosque of Milano. He is one of the founders of the Imam, Rabbis and Christian for peace at UNESCO and a consultant for the relationships between the Vatican and Italy of the 138 muslim sages of the document “Una Parola Comune” (A common word). He lectured on Islam in Italian and international universities talking of a spiritual, orthodox and ecumenical Islam. He has in particular faced questions such as the relations between faith and laity, intercultural education, interreligious dialogue, inner self. His major books are: Islam in Europe, Riflessioni di un Imam italiano, (Il Saggiatore 2004, prized in 2005 by the President of Tunisia) and Dentro la Moschea, BUR 2007.
