Imam Adnan Adrian Wood-Smith is an award-winning educator, coach, and founder of Deeper Muslim, an initiative dedicated to helping individuals deepen their connection to faith, purpose, and personal growth. Through his work, he combines academic scholarship, teaching excellence, and mentorship to support Muslims in navigating both spiritual and professional development. A valedictorian graduate of Dartmouth College, Adnan holds a Master’s degree and is currently completing his PhD in Islamic Studies at Harvard University. He is also a certified language teacher through Harvard’s Bok Center, a certified Enneagram Coach, and a recipient of Harvard’s Certificate of Distinction in Teaching, reflecting his commitment to educational excellence and impactful learning experiences. Throughout his career, Adnan has mentored and coached hundreds of students and professionals through roles at Harvard Divinity School, Brown University, and Zaytuna College. He has also served as President of RICMA, the umbrella organization representing Rhode Island’s Muslim community, helping strengthen engagement, leadership, and collaboration across the community. His insights on faith, identity, and personal development have reached global audiences through platforms such as the Blogging Theology podcast and Towards Eternity, as well as through academic publications and media appearances. Through Deeper Muslim, Adnan continues to empower individuals to cultivate a more meaningful and intentional relationship with their faith and life’s purpose.
