Pray my Lord and grant your blessings
always eternally
on the Prophet Muhammad
his companions and family
When the Prophet came among us
there was sweetness in the air
for the ones who listened closely
and desired to be aware
And the word of God poured through him
and eternity unrolled
and in human form among us
..we saw the way unfold
All great idols stood before us
and we bowed with all our hearts
but the Prophet smashed them all down
for God has no counterparts
He was strong and pure as light is
and his face shone like a star
and his heart so deeply radiant
that it’s rays have reached this far
and the gardens of instruction
they have bloomed in constant flower
with sweet-scented forms and meanings
bathed in God’s majestic power
he was gentle with believers
disbelievers felt his force
for God sent, him here, as messenger
to perfect the human course
O Muhammad we do greet you
with our hearts and souls and minds
with each breath, we do repeat you
for God sent you to mankind
O Muhammad O Rasool
through this world of cosmic night
guide our lives through all our days
to Allah light upon light
In this age of much corruption
needing mercy, seeking grace
may your teaching be before us
to seek out and see Gods face
Oh Allah please bless our Prophet
all believers far and wide
all your angels all creation
for Your truth can’t be denied
Every human in this world
who should hear the Prophets name
and then know that God is living
when nothing else remains
Oh Allah please bless our Prophet
may we see him with our eye
In the highest realms of Jannah
with your servant Abdul Hayy

Mustafa Davis, born and raised in the Bay Area in Northern California, was trained as a photojournalist and documentary filmmaker. Mustafa picked up his first camera at the age of 11 and learned how to develop film in a make-shift home closest darkroom. Photography quickly became his hobby and took his camera with him everywhere he went. Mustafa studied to become a photojournalist in film school at the New York Film Academy. Since graduation he has directed and produced several feature length documentary films and many short films and commercials and showcased his photography internationally in galleries and exhibitions. His films have won a few awards and been showcased on PBS, POV, The Atlantic, WNET, Discovery, BBC, Amazon Prime, and others.
